Experiences of Dying Animals: Parallels With End-Of-Life Experiences in Humans

There has recently been an increased interest in end-of-life experiences (ELEs) humans,but ELEs non-human animals have not yet assessed. In this paper, wepresent findings from a study we performed to collect and analyze reports about remarkablebehavioral aspects of during their last phase life. After publicappeals which asked for animals, received numerousresponses pet owners. We were able group these into specificcategories, termed the goodbyes, visits, rally, retreating solitude,unusual premonitions death, somatic surprises, terminal lucidity andpotential near-death visions animals. present 43 case pertaining thesedifferent categories.
